A young orchestra in Hamburg wanted to appeal to everyone. Even the hearing impaired. So we came up with the idea to create a wearable technology that would achieve just that: allow the hearing impaired to experience a classical concert.

The Sound Shirt became a regular offering at the orchestra available for the hearing impaired.

A wearable tech that allows the hearing impaired to feel music through touch sensations.

Microphones on stage captured the orchestra’s instruments which were grouped into sounds. The sounds were then converted into data and transmitted to the prototype via a software in real-time.

We teamed up with the wearable technology brand Cute Circuit to create a design and prototype based on our idea.
